Approach and background

When I discovered osteopathy, I had a real crush for it. Early, I decided to practice it because of the possibility to support and relieve people with my hands only and bring more self-consciousness. After I graduated in 2015, I already had strong medical and biomechanical knowledge. Then, I started to widen my practical skills by pursuing osteopathy trainings. I also had in mind for a long time a trip abroad, that is why I went to England for a year to study a Sport Science Master. That was a very formative experience because I had to speak english all day long and I had the chance to meet people with different background than mine. This enabled me to have a wider conception of sport care.
Then I had the opportunity to live another crucial experience by going to Montreal, Canada for 2 years. I discovered another culture oriented toward sel-esteem and self-fulfillment. I was lucky to follow a training with Sylvie Tremblay to become a yoga teacher. This training was as much a way to overcome my limitations and live fully all the experiences brought by life. Consequently, my osteopathy practice has greatly evolved to become more subtil, because I let myself be more attentive, receptive and opened to others.
It is also important to me to train regularly, to broaden my knowledge, my approach and my techniques, but also because I love learning new things. Thus, my career path led me to meet specialists in perinatal care, to learn about the plants and their use or to develop a subtler approach of the body. Because of my experiences, my treatments are now more complete.
In my opinion, my job as an osteopath is to help the body to recover more mobility and flexibility to relieve the pain, but the real work comes with the efforts we put in having a healthy lifestyle. There is no best therapy than the care we have for our own body and mind. Sport, healthy food, stress management, professional/personal balance are parameters we can work on to be in good health. Yoga helps me to achieve that.
